Take Flight at Local Airparks

Palmdale's skies are rich in aviation heritage, and what better way to uncover our history than through our famous airparks

Joe Davies Heritage Airpark is one of our cities' most kid-friendly attractions. This 26-acre park pays tribute to the region's aerospace industry and showcases an ever-growing fleet of aircraft. The park currently has 21 retired military and NASA planes on view, including a B-52 bomber, a F-16 fighter jet, and a massive Boeing 747.

Just next door, the Blackbird Airpark, an extension of the Edwards Air Force Flight Test Museum, boasts its own collection of rare military planes that includes the world-famous SR-71 Blackbird and other 20th-century experimental military planes. Here, kids can imagine covert missions and high-flying espionage as they listen to the thrilling stories told by the park's friendly tour guides.
